A true historical moment

I think the highlight of the whole ceremony was his speech, and the following abstract is my favourite part in his whole speech.

"To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it." Abstract- President Barack Obama, Inaugural speech.

P.S: The full version of his speech is on the bbc news website.

That is definitely the message he is sending out and i believe what most of the world are holding onto. The differing factor between an optimist and a pessimist. It is what gives people the drive and motivation to continue inspite of all the hardships that come by. This very word allows man to look forward and strive towards a better future.
Without it, there would be nothing.
HOPE.
One word, yet holding infinite meaning.

66th GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS.
The glamour.
The stars.
The red carpet.
THE OUTFITS!!!
The floor sweeping, bodice hugging, curve flattering dresses. A myriad of colours, materials, DESIGNERS. I think that is the HIGH HIGH HIGHLIGHT of the golden globes, as shallow as that sounds. Throughout the whole awards show, i think my mind was just going overtime with OMG, WOAHHH, THAT GORGEOUS! AHHHHHHHH. It was totally worth waking up at a CRAZZZYY time just to take it all in.

I especially liked the baby blue one that adorned Drew Barrymore was wearing,
also the Elizabeth Banks baby pink ruffles like dress,
Anne Hathaway's blue sequined dress,

white 50s inspired dress Eva Mendes

Olivia Wilde's lavender gown,

Jeniffer Morrison's bright blue figure hugging wrap strapless dress,

and the red red red mermaid dress on Eva Longeria.

Arghh, i'm just couldn't catch all the designers though, most of them sounded so foreign and long! But, roberto cavalli was quite often uttered when the stars were interviewed and asked who were they wearing.

Hugo Boss makes amazing suits! Susan Sarandon looked so smart and smashing in her Hugo Boss Suit!

And on top of the outfits, the JEWELLERY! One piece that really caught my eye was a flower necklace on Christina Applegate. And the hair piece that Elizabeth Banks was stunning and gave her such a nice vintage air. All the imaginable timeless looks on the red carpet. All dressed to the nines, what a scream of a DREEAAMM!

Bu what amazes me is how they are able to walk in those gowns!! They're so long! And people kept stepping on them! But they have not once tripped! AMAZING!
