Went to chris's house to surprise her for her birthday! Bet she had loads of fun today. One surprise after another, really so glad for her. (:
We went at like 10 in the morning to her place. Walking all the way, with cake and all, to her room. Chard then knocked and when that bleary eyed darling opened the door we boomed/sang, the happy birthday song! All nine of us, Tess, Jav, Chard, Bunty, Shaan, Max, Khoo, Hui Xin and me. Chris's face looked so funny at that point of time. She had a shocked/surprised/i just got up look. It was really funny, and she was wearing this buzz light year top. So cute! (: We then had cake and hung around her house for quite a while and just when we were leaving, it started raining! and to make matters worse,the rain was so HEAVY! Even with a sheltered walkway we were still all soaked to the skin by the time we reached the bus stop!
No matter what, it was a really great way to start the day. When we were at her place we were taking all kinds of stupid shots, it was so comical! Retard and Bunts was the most hilarious. Poor bunt, hope you're over this mornings shock! (: HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY CHRIS!

EVERY CENT COUNTS.
I guess me and steph learnt it the HARD way today! Both of us decided to have something to munch at Marche. We both went in with almost nil cash, i only having 6 and steph with none in her wallet. We cashed in about 6.80 altogether in both our cards. That was when we realised we were both short of money! Steph had her ATm card but was really unsure whether we could use it cause her funds were, well, rather low. *laughs* And we only had 6 dollars! 80 cents short! We were so worried we had to stay back to wash the dishes or something! We were really despereate we even looked on the floor for coins!! So then we started digging everwhere for coins. I had like 35cents and steph managed to find another 35. We were 10 cents short! Steph even thought of asking the waiter to pay for us. So pathetic huh, thank God Steph dugg, like seriously DUG into her bag and guess what? A ten cents coin! We were ELATED! *laughs* It was so funny! (: Today was seriously the funniest and happiest day of the week! Even though its not over i can safely say so! (: *beams*

A STUDENT'S PRAYER

Now i lay me down to rest.

I pray i pass tomorrow's test.

that's one less test i'll have to take.

If we knew each morning that there was going to be another morning,

and on and on,

we'd tend not to notice the sunrise,

or hear the birds,

or the waves rolling into shore.

We'd tend not to tresure our time with the people we love.

Simply thr awareness that our moral lives had a beginning and will have an end enhances the quality of our living.

Perhaps its even more intense when we know that the termination of the body is near but it shouldn't be.

Okay, for my darling charmaine's sake i shall update. This week has been really trashy with so many things happening at one go but i bet more will come. I think the afternoon of yesterday was the best half of the week. (: Hmmm. Yup. Nowadays i'm not really up for blogging so i might blog once a week? I don't know. OH! And playing hide and seek is horrible and i HATE it! *bleagh* And yes how could i forget, Daryl was at the retreat too! (: Thanks for talking to me dude.

Just came back from retreat. Hmmm. It was really different from the one last year, and wasn't as good. But i think my group was nice! *smiles* Thanks, Joanna, Carl, Livia, Melanie, Ewen and Joanne! It was great knowing you guys. (: Now i have to rush off to do , homework. Bleagh. It just gets on your nerves. Then later going down to the hospital. Sigh my grandma.. Just have to pray that she will have the strength to pull herself through.

I knew i had to go down today. I wanted to and i wasn't even sure whether i could make it on friday. It was around 6 and i cycled as fast as i could. But guess what? I missed them, ALL of them. Didn't see a single one, not one. Siiiiggghhhhhhh. WHY? WHY? Argh! This is way unfair. I had that feeling i would miss them, but i shrugged it off and continued to cycle faster. It was only when i reached NSC and saw all the boats nicely parked when it hit me real hard. DAMN! I cycled really slowly, going round the area but they were not there. I didn't believe it, so i cycled into the centre, but i still did not see a sign of them, it was then that it sank in, that they had all left.
This was when i realised, what i missed most, and that was them, my ij team mates, the other sailors. They were the most important and fun part of my whole sailing experience. I felt so miserable as i left. I felt cheated. I went down hoping to see them but instead i returned disappointed. I'd give ANYTHING to be back in the ij sailing team. Siiggghhhhhh.
